Yes! You Can IF… The story of Rüdiger, “Mr. Algorithm”

Do you believe in the Law of attraction? The law of attraction is one of the universal principles that is difficult to understand. This is a principle coined by Helena Blavatsky, the founder of an organization formed in search for the truth. The law simply states that a person’s conscious and unconscious thoughts, emotions, actions and beliefs will draw the subsequent events in the person’s future being . Which simply means, your dominant thoughts will find a way to manifest.
This law may be true for the case of Rüdiger Gamm, “the german mental calculator”. Rüdiger was the worst pupil in math in his childhood years until one night at the age of 21, he focused on a table of numbers. The numbers was set in for a week in his mind and with constant mind exercise, he developed his superhuman mathematical abilities better than autistic savants. These are autistic people who have prodigious skills (skills like an obsessive hobbyist or as an example, the ability to play an entire concerto on the piano after hearing it only once).
At the age of 35, Rüdiger, can instantly solve complex mathematical algorithms only with his mind. He has the ability to divide prime numbers to the 60th decimal point, raise two-digit numbers with a three-digit exponent, what’s even out of the ordinary is, he can speak a sentence backwards and when back-masked by a device, the words spoken backwards sounds as if it was normally said.
He was thought to be a typical savant autistic by Prof. Allan Snyder, the Foundation Director of the world’s only Centre for the Mind in Australia, until in one experiment featured in a program in Discovery Channel titled “Real Superhumans”. Prof. Snyder asked Rüdiger to tell the day of the week of some several future dates and some dates in history. Rüdiger replied, he will try since it is going to be his first time to make calendar calculations. In the experiment, 
Prof. Snyder was surprised that he could tell the days of the week in just a nick of time. Savant’s doesn’t have the ability to adjust their mind’s algorithm in a matter of seconds. What astounded Prof. Snyder is that Rüdiger was able to instruct his mind to create the new algorithm quickly.
The law of attraction may be working for people like Rüdiger. He did poor in math school but he was able to develop exceptional human abilities in his mid-age. He may not be born with it but I believe that he believed he can!!! For entrepreneurs in the field of Philippine Business, it maybe difficult at start but if you believe you can…yes! You can!

Inspiring article! An active mind is a really powerful force that can shake the world, but it is only when our heart desires that we are able to achive something not of what we can do alone but what HE wants us to accomplish.
As Tracey said it is all about what we want/ desire. I am a National Account Manager in Splash Corporation and I was able to use my mind in achieving the monthy goals that I set for my account. Even in addressing account concerns, I make it a point to make a conscious effort in identifying specific concerns by writing it down. By identifying opportunity areas I am able to attract solutions that will address the gaps. However, I am always challenging myself to add more value to the organization, this DESIRE lead me to this site. The law of attraction.
I am already managing a national account, but I want to do more for the company and add more value. This is my desire and perhaps I can find more people that will help me with the cause of my company, that is, “to uplift the pride and economic well being of the Filipino people”.
For the Filipino investors, you may want to invest in this fast growing Filipino company, it recently had its IPO this month. I believe that it is a great company and it is currently competing with its multinational counterparts (Col-Pal and Unilever) in the Philippines.
