Scroll down to watch the elimination video as well as all the videos of Ramiele in American Idol Season 7
After Jasmin Trias and Camile Velasco, another Filipino made it as one of the 24 finalist of American Idol.
The very pretty 20 year old Ramiele Macrowon-Malubay, a native of Miramar, Florida, who once said …
If Jasmin can do it, I can do it!
… freaked out after knowing she is included in the final 24. Ramiel established her attachment with music early at the age 12 when she sang in her cousin’s birthday. The very talented Filipina can also play the piano as well as the guitar which is being taught to her by her sister. Besides singing and playing instruments, she also did some Polynesian Dancing since she was on the first grade.
The “Pinay American Idol” is a huge fan of Regine Velasquez. She said that she really doesn’t want to be famous but instead, represent the Asian community especially the Filipinos in this competition where the whole world is watching.
And guess what, like every Filipino; Ramiele Malubay also tried eating balot (balut)…
The weirdest thing I have ever eaten, balot (balut), It’s like a … I think it’s a duck egg. It’s cooked but there’s a baby inside. … I don’t know, I don’t eat it anymore. But it tastes good if you eat the outside part, instead of the baby inside.

Ramiele stopped nursing school for this season and promised to go back if not chosen to be the next American Idol.
Just like Renaldo Lapuz, it’s really a pleasure to see another Filipino in the limelight of this season. If you are listening Ramiele, you are an American Idol for us all and we are certain that you will outstrip the other finalists.
Ramiele was eliminated this April 2 from her last performances of “Do I Ever Cross Your Mind” original by Dolly Parton

i hope she would be the first Asian American Idol! yahooo!!
go girl! conquer simon! conquer hollywood! conguer the World!!! let the World fall in love with you, sweetie!!!
she’s great! i love basia, and ramiele did a great job! i’m looking forward to seeing more of her on AI
For me, she’s better than Jasmine and other fil-ams who made it. She’ got a powerful voice, better quality and has the prowess and ability to outclass the rest. If she know how to choose the right songs for her (sila ba ang mamili ng kakantahin nila?) she can become another pride of ‘Pinas. But am not expecting much, it’s fine with me if she can get into a few rounds but of course we’ll be happier if he gets into the finals, win or lose! Pinoys are world class in talents and we are proud of it. Mabuhay ka Ramiele!
I believed she is the most talented Filipino-asian ever to join the American Idol- I like her style and of course her voice. Ang Galing R-n-B parang easy lang sa kaniya.
good luck please keep promoting the Philippines. And all my Family are behind you all the way!!!
Las Vegas is backing you up!!

Yeah another cry of racism. You are showing the ignorant side of yourself. Its not fixed and it is not about race it is about singing talent. Proud maybe but also relying on America for alot of things such as making money and sending it home due to a failed government in the Philippines. Stop talking crap and making it like you are better than others. What happen to the humble polite culture of the Philippines? Stop showing that you have no brains. I hope she wins also because it will make all of us in the Philippines proud but not proud as in racist but proud that someone from out culture can represent their talent. Dont try to be a racist pig when you are just being ignorant.
I’m glad of you ramiele because you are a pinay and you has a good voice………
Congratulations Ramiele (Ramiel) Malubay.

Fellow kababayans please support our very own Ramiele Malubay. She is the reason why i am watching American Idol again. Camille Velasco and Jasmine Trias made it in the Top 12 and it feels great watching Filipinos doing their best. Please vote for Ramiele, pinoy with a powerful voice.
Go Ramiele! Teachers in Maryland are supporting all the way! We will continue praying for you! We love you Ramiele! Stay humble!
She’s got great voice.
I think the judges love the groovy songs…stick to that and you’ll make it to the finals….keep your cute smile and people will love you…remember, majority of your winning is your vote…so try to melt people’s heart by HOW you sing and WHAT you sing.
I am watching the rest….and i could say you are one of the 3 best choices….try to develop that confidence and you’ll see – i believe that no matter how good your voice is – if you start to feel nervous, it will put you to an end – good luck to you and i wish i could vote, anyway…i know you can make it there! mwah!….mabuhay ang Pinay!

Ramiele go get them tiger!
She’s amazing! From the moment i saw her, i fell in love with her! LOL although I’m a girl and i’m not a lesbian
I love her style of clothes, her style of hair, it’s so cool! And of course i do love her voice, definitely. Her voice is amazing, her attitude is so cute, wow, she’s an idol to me!
Besides her, i love David Archuleta too-He’s so sweet, and his voice is amazing too.
Go both of you!! May both of you reach TOP 3!
But, i don’t know which one is my favorite, i can’t choose >.<
I LOVE both of them, LOL
Is there anyone that can’t choose between them like me?
malubay is great, i wish there is no such insider in AI
I know you can do it and keep it up the good work.. We are always here to support you..
I am one of your supporter and avid fan here in the phils..
More power.
Congrats to Ramiele!
You’re the next Filipino singing sensation following Jasmine Trias (and Cherise Pempengco).
Comcast website article ranks you #1!
Please note:
1. You have a great voice with various voice ranges/tempo.
2. Great stage presence and gestures/mannerisms (hands, face, lips); love the head “jerk”.
3. Natural talent obvious; professional level singing skills as noted by Randy (started singing only at age 12?).
4. Great physical appeal to both men and women (good choice of hair, makeup, shoes, clothes/accessories); you also come across as sweet and nice.
5. always demonstrating Filipino courtesy of expressing “thank you ” to the judges; makes you the most polite of all contestants.
Keep it up. Filipinos are supporting you!
She said if she doesn’t win she’ll go back to school! I want to have an album in my shopping bag if she doesn’t win, and I don’t want her to give up singing! She is so great, and I would be so hear wrenched If she just does nursing the rest of her life, and we cant enjoy her beautiful voice touching souls here, and in the Philipines!
Wow! Mabuhay si Ramiele Malubay! She made us Filipino proud. I hope she makes it as the American Idol. Go Ramiele!
GO FOR RAMIELE!! she’s is undoubtedly great!!!! she has the voice and the charm… hehehe..
Ramielle Malubay equals mabuhay. You’ll be the next american idol for sure.
She makes me want to buy my own magic sing! Manila is rooting for you!
this season of American Idol some are hoping that Filipina singer Ramiele Malubay can be the first Asian American to win the coveted
She is loveable and I just hope she continues to choose the right song.
I think she would be having a difficult time with Carly Smithson
mabuhay pinay…
yeah, kick some ass, ms. ramiel malubay!!!
we beleive in the power of all filipinos and filipinas…

Damn girl…you go! show em’ what you got…We’re with you all the way. Philippines you just got yourselves a jewel. Be proud!!!
Hi,
I really liked Ramiele to win but she seems not giving her best. Paula always commented that she seems holding on. She has to let go of her talent.. of her voice. I think it simply means kailangan nyang BUMIRIT! She should watch videos of the young generation of singers back home. Also, she lacks the what we called the “star performance”…that somebody who owns the stage that somebody who has confidence. More so, choice of song should be carefully chosen.
We’ll I hope she really will make it at least even to the top 3.
hi nice singer
hope you better more
singer and stayed on your top keep it up.
go ramiele you can do it
I beleive she can make
it to the top 3
if only she choise the right song
for her voice
she had an excellent diction..
Most talented living creature??? Superior??? Dream on…… LOL
She represents US-mga Pilipino, very gracefully, hiyang-hiyang sa kanya ang kanyang mga ngiti. Can’t stop smiling while watching her sing.
Let us put together our support to Ramiele and her family!!!!
Mabuhay!!!

I know and I believe that you really have the most phenomenal voice in this season of american idol. go, ramielle, go….
DEFINITELY, RAMIELLE WILL BE THE NEXT AMERICAN IDOL….GO FOR GOLD RAMIELLE…..

spread the word
i think you should sing “and i am telling you”.
if you can sing it better than Cherese Pempengco, you have a big chance of making it to the next round.
you have to swing with passion and with energy. you just stand there and no action and you look so boring and your song make me sleep.
your style is just too plain and what Simon would call very forgetable.
you must have a lot of action and you need to have some life and energy in your voise and your style.
awwww. she’s already out. =(
I kinda new she won’t make it to the end but I didn’t expect it to be so soon. Now, I don’t have any reason to watch AI.
i think she deserves to stay 1 more week than Kristy Lee
iloveyou. for me you r d american idol!!! at a young age you hav achieved a lot! though you didn’twin, iknow you will be the next “it” girl and the next big thing in hollywood! go ramy!!!
I’m Thai .. and im proud to be Thai. Tiger Woods, Johnny Damon, Vanessa Mae, Brenda Song (Disney Queen), Tata Young … and lots of others im proud of them all.
I get upset when filipinoes say that they are better than others .. they are the best blah blah
I thought you guys really believe in God .. devout Christians? .. and they way you show it is just amazing
“racists”
I’t s ok to be proud. But i don’t think it’s ok to put other ethnicities/nationalities down. I’ve never thought of Thai being the best, eventhough im very proud of these famous world class-Thai people.
this is what i hate about filipinos, you have to make it abroad before people here will recognise your talent…
all of the sudden, she has a concert with pop singers here because she made it to the top 24 of AI???
what gives, if you were eliminated, doesn’t that mean that you lost?
why is it that losers here in the philippines do not get to have a concert?
this is still colonial mentality of you filipinos.
you do not appreciate what you ahve here until it is validated by other countries!
If next year the top 10 are all filipinos who will you support? the better singer or the one that looks least like a filipino, the whitest skin, biggest eyes and pointiest nose? Look beyond race, race is not something to be proud of, you are born with it, be proud of what you do with you life.
