The Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (PCE), in support with the government drive, is yet again on a new endeavor to promote entrepreneurship in the country, with a 5-fold mechanism that aims to tap into the minds of those who are still in primary schooling.
The program which aims to inculcate early entrepreneurial mindset in the minds of those in grade school and high school was launched under the auspices of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). It hopes to make entrepreneurship education available to both formal and non-formal medium and strive to build an environment which is conducive to starting a Business in the Philippines. The program believes that it is never too early, even for kids still in primary schools, to be exposed to real enterprise.
They believe that this early exposure would unlock creativity, enhance their business skills and give the youth a brighter vision in the world of business. It is also desired that the program would create and cultivate competitive entrepreneurs of tomorrow, by teaching them early the values and mindset of an entrepreneur.
Once in full inception, the center is expected to come up with business competition plans to expose the students in the actual thinking, planning, and documenting of a well presented business plans. It is usually through business competitions that good ideas and prospective entrepreneurs are brought out to the attention of potential investors.
The PCE is planning to put up websites to communicate this plan, as well as through prints via commercial magazine. Leaving no stones unturned to make this project viable and be able to create entrepreneurial success stories.
