“Crisis brings numerous profitable opportunities in the market because people have demands that could be possibly addressed by businessmen,” said Butch Albarracin, founder and CEO of the Center for Pop Music Phils. “It makes you the best entrepreneur because it gives you opportunities,’ he added.

Filipinos should look for business opportunities in spite of global financial crisis- a piece of advice given by some of the successful entrepreneurs in the country. Small businesses can even bring out money, just find out what the market needs and serve your customers in the best way that you can.

”Filipinos should not be discouraged by poverty,” said Jovel Cipriano, founder of pinoydelikasi.com – a website that sells Filipino delicacies around the world. “It just a combination of initiative and hard work. Any enterprise having that kind of attitude will be lucrative in the long-run.”

”Money is something else, you cannot tell me that you can’t start a business because you don’t have a single penny in your pocket nor any senseless reasons, it all depends on the person on how passionate and determined he is to achieve his dreams or the things that he wanted to do,” he stressed.

Albarracin and Cipriano were just two of the successful entrepreneurs- and a good example to others- that were invited by the Philippine Marketers’ Association in Bacolod City to speak during the 5th Regional Marketing Conference last week.

These two entrepreneurs have proven that no matter what or how hard the obstacles may come, as long as the passion is in there and you hold on to your dreams, nothing is impossible. A piece of advice coming from them, “Look at crisis or difficulties as obstacles to be conquered, not a hindrance that refrain you from achieving. Every crisis can become opportunities as long as you open you eyes and mind and seize it.”
