To Land the Best People for Your Business

Posted on December 7th, 2008

In business, you cannot survive without connections, especially when you are new. You have to have these established individuals to help you cope with things that concerns your business.

These connections will bring you to the road of success. How? Well, as we all know they are already established, they made a name already, they pretty know the do’s and don’t in business. However, you cannot expect these people to help you all the time, they may help you temporarily or worst, some of them may not agree to help you, since they also have their own business to handle. The challenge is how to bring them in and be one of your board of directors.

The idea is to have someone who is competent, someone who possess the best quality of being a leader, who came from a very reputable company (who could be one of your connections), in short, you need someone with high-profile name. It’s like placing a winner in your business that will pull your business up to be a winner as well. On the other hand, it may not be easy for you to persuade them to join you. Again, go for the challenge. Attract them with something that will compensate them more than the usual.

Let me point out to you that, having this high-profiled person in your company will not complete the package. You also have to be aware of their total commitment in their work. Their passion in working.

Is it hard? At first maybe. But I have here some of the ways to make it easier for you to find someone with the title and the heart for the work.

1. ASK FOR HELP. Talk to someone trusting that could recommend an individual fitted for your business. In some instances, you may want to seek the help of someone who is professional, you may consider going to a recruitment agency. They have all the leads you need. But be careful, some agencies are just so foolish.

2. DIVULGE TO YOUR POTENTIAL PEOPLE THE FACT THAT THEY ARE THE BEST IN THE WORLD. There’s no other way to pursue people to join you but to make them feel so special. Give them value. Tell them how you admire his or her expertise, and to which you believe will be very helpful in bringing success in your business. But remember, don’t ever promise them too much.

By doing these, you can arrive to that individual. I believe, these chosen people will be the best, since they possess the title and the heart in working. They will sure help you reach success.
