Instant Office and Virtual Office: What is the difference?
Posted on June 23rd, 2009
Almost everybody is dreaming of having their own business. Usually it requires certain amount to start a business. But it doesn’t end there; the office of the business is another thing that would require money, effort and energy. But the question is do we have sufficient fund to include the expenses in putting up our business office? Do we have the time to do the preparation?

This problem is what CEO SUITE wanted to resolve. It offers a suitable and cost-efficient way to have an office without spending too much of your time. CEO SUITE started in Jakarta way back 1997 and has started to operate in the Philippines in middle of 2007, offering ready-to-occupy office space or office address for businesses that are just starting. It was founded by Mee Kim, an experienced manager who has worked in different countries including Australia where she worked with Servcorp, a business where CEO SUITE was patterned. It is from the seven years experiences in Servcorp that she decided to established her own business at Jakarta Stock Exchange Building.
CEO SUITE wanted to spare those starting their business with the additional problems of putting up their offices, choosing its location, designing, buying the necessary furniture and equipments and employing staff to receive calls and messages. The CEO SUITE offers a ready for occupancy office for chief executive and traveling entrepreneurs and a practical office with an exact address along with telephone lines for businessmen who do not find putting up their own office a necessity.
With the continuous booming of the call center and business process outsourcing industry in the Philippines, office space investment is also rising up. According to Kim, the Philippines has very few office spaces left which result to the up raising of the cost of office spaces in Manila. CEO SUITE deals with this problem by offering instant office services.
The use of instant offices offered by CEO SUITE varies from hourly to monthly basis. It can also be used on a half day, daily or even on weekly basis depending on the need of the clients. CEO SUITE also link starting businesses who are occupying their spaces to appropriate contacts for business registrations like the Department of Trade and Industry, permits and other necessities for starting the business.
Payment on CEO SUITE varies on the size of the office space being occupied and the duration of stay. An ordinary office address without telephone lines will be much cheaper compare to those with telephone lines. Virtual service offering includes the business address, phone line, and a skeletal office staff to receive calls and messages. On the other hand same facilities are offered in the service office offering with an addition of amenities like pantry area and PABX (Private Automatic Branch Exchange) where client’s call will be transferred anywhere. While the virtual office is much cheaper, the serviced office rates are comparable to the rates of a five star hotel.

Thanks for the writeup. I’m starting up a new company soon. Should I register a virtual office or should I go ahead with renting a small space first? What are your thoughts?
