Iran a Revolution, another Tiananmen or could it be something else?

The government of Iran headed by supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei together with other religious authorities, has a priority of making their regime survive. Some people have wondered if Iran is on the edge of revolution after not seeing protest in the streets and angry crowds since the 1979 revolution. But they are also avoiding the occurrence of a China-style Tiananmen where people are silenced by gun fires for crying for reforms.
Though the Iranian presidential election has been concluded, still, it will always be remembered. Mir Hussein Mousavi was intensely and passionately supported. The Guardian Council which supervises the election allowed the partial recount in some doubtful votes. Yet, people is not accepting the fact that after the battle, it would end up in another term for Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as their president. We cannot know more if the election had any hoax.
Will the result of this election in a way or the other accept President Obama’s negotiation offer without pre-conditions, is the question to be answered. This initiative of Obama is far more different form the approach made by Bush’s administration. Some people believe that it is unlikely for an annulment of the vote or a new election call from Iranian opposition despite the legitimacy problem at home and abroad of Ahmadinejad.
The result of the Iran election has a big disappointment to the administration of Obama. They thought that the dialogue with the West will improve after the election. But since Ahmadinejad, to whom the policy was offered, is still the president and his reelection has not changed his reasoning with the policy, the improvement with the relationship of Iran with the West is still a question.
Improvement of relationship with the West will not happen no matter what the outcome of the election is for as long as Ayatollah Khamenei, the supreme leader doesn’t want to.
