Transprocure is a seven-year old company consisting of all Filipino and is competing for the topnotch position in the growing field of procurement services. It aims to make the Philippines the World Capital of Procurement.
Transprocure has the main function of procurement and is a pioneer company that carries end-to-end solutions. Procurement involves assisting an organization or company to tap the best decision in the industry. Helping companies to purchase material and services at the most reasonable price with consideration with time, best quality and sufficient quantity is what drives procurement. Mr. Charlie Villaseñor is the main man of Transprocure. With his experiences in working with multinational companies such as Coke, 3M and Chevron, Villaseñor is successfully leading Transprocure to growth while helping fellow companies to thrive and earn.

The backbone of Transprocure is a staff composed of all Filipinos and everything about the organization is generated locally and they are proud about it. However being established by Filipinos did not hinder the company in spreading its advantages and capacities not only in Asia but as well to the other parts of the world. Among the areas that Transprocure has dominated are Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Colombia, Australia, California, Texas, and UAE.
Despite the company’s operation for jus about seven years, it already has achieved different recognitions. Among these awards are 2004 “Rising Star†Award for BPO – Procurement Services given by the Malacañang Palace, 2005 “Best Young Supply Chain Provider†awarded by the SCMLogistics Excellence Annual Awards in Singapore, 2007 “Most innovative BPO Company of the Year†from the International ICT Awards, and the most recent is the 2008 “Most progressive Homegrown Company of the Year” given by the Department of Trade and Industry through the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions.
Transprocure’s President Mr. Villaseñor has also received several citations for his contributions in the field. He is leading the company together with the help of his two Vice Presidents, Mr. Dino Limjap and Mark Morales.

For certifications, they have aligned with the Institute of Supply and Management. According to Mr. Villaseñor, training and board examinations were not offered before, so they lobbied for the US based procurement and supply management board assessment to be brought here in the country. He added that one must take further education and pass an examination to be Certified Procurement and Supply Management Professional.
He stressed that the government should learn the best practice of procurement to avoid the major problem in the country which is corruption in procurement. He said that Transprocure makes a clean, efficient, and transparent procurement process to avoid such problem.
4 Transprocure Services
The four packages that Transprocure offers are:
Strategic Procurement- this includes procurement consultations, strategic sourcing and category management, analysis of spending and management with addition of research and benchmark.
EProcurement- this is sometimes called software implementation. This type of service includes factory and production of eContent and eCatalog, Technology Hosting and Enterprise Contract Management, and Help desk Support as well as maintenance.
Procurement Outsourcing- included in this service is International Purchasing Offices, Transactional Processing, delivery center of global procurement and best cost country sourcing.
Procurement Augmentation- this service comes with executive search and staffing, training and development, supplier services and enablement, and procurement and Trading Hub.
Working with CITEM
Mr. Villaseñor added that CITEM or the Center for International Expositions and Mission which bring the company along on their foreign conferences in addition to more active advertisement can assist Transprocure in building a country brand in procurement.
For the past four years, CITEM has held exhibit and conference which had the intention of showcasing the Philippines as the premiere ICT destination and Transprocure has been joining this.
Mr. Villaseñor shared that the show benefits Transprocure by giving the company the chance to speak and display the Philippines’ Procurement capabilities and advantages. Through this, he wants to secure the country’s position as the procurement capital of the world.
Transprocure is such a terrible company. It’s staff is so few. I have a friend who was once an employee there. He was underpaid and his SSS was not paid by them. I even recall that he told me that the president of the company (CPV) as they call him, yells at them like a dog when they (the staff) commit mistakes.
