Motivate Yourself Working from Home

Many of us want to be our own boss, set our own rules and follow our own work hours. As your own boss, we don’t need to worry about getting displaced or fired.
However, since you are your own boss, you’re also in charge of everything. You are responsible of every aspect of your home business, the bad and the good.
Since you are working for yourself, you might just be content with earning just enough money to get by and be fine where you’re at. If you feel like you’re slacking, you need to boost yourself.
Scott Allen, for About.com offers some tips to keep you motivated:
Take some time to think about why you started working from home to begin with. Did you want it because you wanted freedom or because you wanted to earn more? Remember how you felt then and you will find yourself motivated again.
Set goals for yourself. Start with small and easy goals. Take it once step at a time. You may try to work an hour more each day or plan to earn a $100 more a week.
Create a vision board. This is a wallpaper of collage of everything you wish in life. You may put pictures of your dream house, your dream SUV, places you wish to travel to and other things you want. Every time you feel like you’re losing the drive, just look at your vision board and remind yourself that you could turn them into reality.
If you’re not feeling very inspired and your creative juices aren’t flowing, don’t force yourself. It’s ok to take breaks. This is one perk of working for your self. You can take a breather if you feel you need one. Sometimes, pushing your self too hard is counterproductive.
If you find yourself de-motivated, always think about why you’re working form home. Think about how much luckier you are not to drag yourself to work everyday. Be glad that you have the free reign that most employees do not enjoy. Just remember that so long as you stay focused and motivated, you have unlimited earning potential and you can enjoy a lifestyle others would love to have.
