Starting October 24, local Zest Air will be having international flights in its schedules as it inaugurates on that day the first of the daily flights to Hong Kong at the Diosdadao Macapagal International Airport (DMIA), the premier International Gateway of the country.

Leading the inaugural flight of Zest Air would be Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) President and CEO Victor Jose I. Luciano, Zest Air President and CEO Ambassador Alfredo M. Yao and Subic Clark Alliance for Development Council (SCADC) Edgardo Pamintuan. The additional flight schedule is expected to further boost the passenger volume of the airport by the end of this year.

The inaugural flight will be having a simple send-off ceremony which will be held at the DMIA VIP Lounge at 3 p.m. Zest Air would be using its brand new Air Bus 320 with a capacity of 166 seats. It will arrive at the DMIA at 2:30 p.m. for the flight to Hong Kong, signaling the start of its full commercial operations in Clark Freeport Pampanga.

Formerly as Asian Spirit, Zest Air is the second local air carrier to operate international commercial operations at the DMIA. It also flies local domestic operations via Clark-Caticlan flights to the world famous Boracay Beach Island Resorts in the Visayas.

For the inaugural flight to Hong Kong, and as part of their promotional campaign at DMIA, the roundtrip ticket will be only $70. To avail of this special rate on, and for bookings on October 24, interested travelers may log in at their website at www.zestair.com.ph.

“We welcome Zest Air for their international operations at DMIA and CIAC will support their endeavor for the development of the airport,” Luciano said.

The plane that would fly to Hong Kong flight Z2-083, will be coming from Manila then proceed to DMIA at 2:30 p.m. to pick-up the Hong Kong-bound passengers. At the Hong Kong International Airport, where it is expected to touchdown at around 5:40 p.m., travelers will be treated to a short welcome celebration.
