Yuri Foreman, most possible opponent for Pacquiao?

With the fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. falling off as quickly as it took, boxing fanatics are now once again betting as to who would be Pacquiao’s next opponent. One of the names that seem to make the most sound is that of Yuri Foreman. Foreman is the reigning WBA super-welterweight crown.
Yuri in fact has already been considered even before negotiations for the Pacquiao vs. Mayweather took off. The pound-for-pound king already agreed to fight him.
The boxer who carries the name of the legendary heavyweight champion is a former New York Golden Gloves champion. Foreman holds a record of 29 unbeaten fights (with one no-contest). He is also under Top Rank.
If he wins against Yuri, Pacquiao will be holding eight world title in eight different classes.
“We want to fight in March and we really don’t want to wait. Mayweather doesn’t want to fight in March, we might fight for the 154 pound title and move up for that eight world title. I’m thinking about that still and it’s something that I’m kicking around in my head right now. Yuri Foreman might be the opponent. It’s a possibility,” said Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach.
The match against Mayweather fell off, and now appears to be out of the picture, because of a dispute in the drug-testing procedure to be observed by both camps. Bob Arum, Pacquiao’s promoter, believes that it’s Mayweather’s way of coughing out of the fight.
Aside from Yuri, other names that came out as possible opponent for Pacquiao were Paul Malignaggi, Tim Bradley and Shane Mosley.
Bradley who wants to fight Pacquiao with or without the drug-test, believes that he is clean. He said in an interview at philboxing.com “I’m not worried about Manny Pacquiao. He’s no on steroids. Just because he’s destroying guys, you want to say he’s on steroids? Come on. He’s just that good. He’s been tested how many times and he’s never tested positive. Neither has Mayweather.”
He said he wouldn’t demand any blood test should he get a chance to fight with Pacquiao or Mayweather.
