It pays to have techie friends

I really do not think I will survive the blogging world without the help of my techie friends. They are the ones I run whenever I have some problems in my blogging and computer in general, yes, even hardware problems! I remember when I need to make IBM Memory Upgrades and I sent an email to one of my friends late at night, the next morning, I already have the reply with the step by step procedure that I need to do, and the hardware I need to buy.
Needless to say, I was able to upgrade my PC in no time. But still, I made sure and my friend “walked” me through it via Yahoo! Messenger. I wanted to make sure.
When it was my Toshiba Laptop Memory that needs an upgrade, it was even easier for me, because all I need to do was bring my notebook to my friend’s house and I just went back to get it up and running the next day.
Now, you may say I abuse my friend. Well, not really because I am giving them referrals whenever I knew of someone who needs their expertise. Like the time when the office near us needs their Sun Server Memory upgraded, I immediately called my friend to have it done. He got extra income for the service.
It’s always good to have techie friends around.
