Opening multiple screens on your PC monitor

I know that with Windows, you can open multiple files anytime and multitask. However, the problem with that is you are restricted to only one screen at at time, and toggling from one tab to another to open another window. Wouldn’t it be nice if you have Actual Multiple Monitors on your screen? I mean, you can see all the files on your monitor screen, two to four at a time.
And it would be just like you extend taskbar on your Windows, you can drag and drop one data, application, or files, from one window to another. And you do not need to take down notes and memorize some data just to compare one file from another, because you can can already see them at the same time. It would be great working with multiple related files if you can see them all at the same time.
Sometimes, I can this trick just by minimizing a windows. The only problem is that is one click could sometimes close one, or maximize one window accidentally. It would be really nice though if there is a software that can let you open multiple files and see them at the same time, like you are working on a dual monitor set-up.
I’ve found a website, actualtools.com that claims to allow users to do this. I should check this out.
