Every now and then, an opportunity comes knocking to an entrepreneur. More often than, however, those opportunities come when he or she is short on funds. Fortunately, there are many money lenders who can provide additional funds. But to be safe, the entrepreneur should be sure that the source is a licensed money lender which is accredited by the government for him to get protection. Like insurance on his submitted collateral (should it be required), and of course, insurance for himself.

Once it is established that the money lender is authorized, he can proceed with the processing of loan. An entrepreneur would not want an opportunity pass him by just because of lack of funds. He knows better that it is not everyday that opportunities will come knocking at his door. But while he is on the lookout for opportunities, the entrepreneur also knows which one to pick and which one to pass.

What is important here is that, while he may not liquid at all times, he have a list of licensed and authorized money lenders, and other reliable funds sources, so that when a good and feasible venture comes his way he will be ready and he would not “miss the bus,” so to speak.

Vacation in Puerto Pollensa

I got an invitation from a friend to go on a vacation to Mallorca. He told me that he already got reservations for villas in Puerto Pollensa and that we will be leaving in two days. And I said, “Where?!” Honestly, this is the first time for me to hear about Mallorca and Puerta Pollensa, and they do not sound like you can get there via land route from where we are now.

So I searched for it on the net, and I was surprised that it is in Spain. I have never been there, and I really do not think that my friend have been there before too. And when I asked him what’s up, and what’s with this trip to Mallorca.

But instead of answering me, he told about the beautiful villas in Pollensa and he showed the pictures on the brochures that he received from the mail. And through the course of our discussion, I learned that he will be meeting a person there for a possible joint venture project.

It figures. My entrepreneur would never travel far just for leisure. I knew there was more to the trip just than a vacation. He just does not want to tell me that it’s work because I might not go with him. Anyway, it is an all-expense paid trip. I am not complaining.

I guess, I should just be supporting my friend in his planned joint venture with his prospective partner. He did not tell me though whether the joint venture project will be there in Mallorca or it will be for a project here in the Philippines.

Anyway, I am sure my entrepreneur friend will not make me stay long there because I need to work here. Besides, the longer he tagged me along, the more expenses he will incur.

An entrepreneur friend got an invitation for a business conference from his partner in Northbrook, Illinois. He was hesitant at first because he do not know much about the place, but his partner assured him that he will be providing him Limo Service in Northbrook IL so he does not have to worry a thing once he is around town.

My friend never doubted of his partner’s capability. He knew him to be a big time, and yet a down-to-earth entrepreneur in Illinois, but he was really surprise that he took him as a partner in his business. More than just a partner, he even served as my friend’s mentor.

But to be providing him a Northbrook Limo as a service is just too much for my friend. But being his partner-mentor, my friend could not just say no to him and flew to Illinois. And rightly so, he was picked up at the airport by the promised limousine which took him to his partner’s place.

There he found out that there wasn’t really any business conference, his partner just want to invite to his place and show him around town. One of his partner’s business there is providing limousine service, which explained why he can afford to provide such to my friend. The business name? It’s Limousine Service Northbrook. And my friend indeed had a great time in his stay in Illinois.

Not everybody would have the opportunity nor the resources to invest in real estate in foreign countries. But a friend of mine, an astute entrepreneur, said he is planning in buying homes in chino hills. Yes, there’s an “s” in that homes. At first, I just said okay, because I really did not understand what he said, much less know where Chino hills was.

But when I finally realized that Chino Hills was in California, I asked if he was serious, and he said said. All I was able to say then was “Wow!” I really envy him for being successful and rich that he is able to do what he plans to do.

However, he immediately corrected me and said that is not rich and still not really successful, but admitted that he studied “mortgage 101” to learn how to acquire real estate properties with the least cost, or no cost at all. He was not about to divulge the secret to me yet because he said he is still in the learning process. To promised though to teach me once he perfected the craft.

He gave me a site though, the trulia website, where he said I can start looking for real estate properties overseas while I wait for him to teach me the tricks of the trade.

“All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” and the same goes true to an entrepreneur. A friend of mine is convincing me to buy wow account so we can play together. I found out that he unwinds by playing the World of Warcraft and he wants me to be in it too so he can beat me to pulp. Yeah, he’s kinda mean. But what can I say? He’s my friend!

Anyway he explained to me what wow accounts are and he even gave me sites where I can buy cheap wow accounts. I did not give in immediately to him, but I said I will look into it when I have the time and is actually finished with all my backlogs.

But what he doesn’t know is that, I’ve been finished with my backlogs two weeks ago and is actually browsing and trying the game so I can give him a good fight. Hey, I don’t want to be beaten to pulp!

The trip to London

Many of my entrepreneur friends have made it big and quite established themselves in London. In fact, some them are even inviting me to visit them for vacation. One friend wants me to fly via Heathrow Airport and said he will pick me up, and he will wait at the heathrow parking. He even said, I do not need to worry a thing. All my expenses would be the airfare to and from London.

You see, I’ve never really been to London and do not much about the places there. But the prospects of discovering a place, of which you have little or no knowledge at quite exciting. I wish I could save up for the airfare.

Another friend said if I should fly via Gatwick Airport, he will be waiting at the gatwick parking to pick me up. Just like my other friend, he said I do not need to worry a thing.

And another exciting thing about this proposed trip is that, I do not only have two friends in London. I believe there are at least five or six of them, who have established themselves there. They said, once I am there, they would organize a small meet up, a reunion for all of us, to catch up on each other. I believe it’s more than ten years since the last time we’ve seen each other.

Oh, if only I can tell them to pay for the airfare, so I can finally go there.

Not too long ago, an entrepreneur friend of mine was inviting me to be his partner for the new business that he is planning. However, he said he was having a hard time looking for a legitimate supplier of trucks and truck accessories in the country whenever he needs to get his trucks repaired, or just for maintenance.

That was when the idea of putting up a business to sell the products and service that he was looking for. Being in the trucking industry, he knows that the others are also having the same problem, therefore, he believes he has a market. That is why he was very enthusiastic when he was trying to convince. I think I am inclined to join him.
